TEKNOFEST is transforming projects into startups

The excitement continues at full speed at TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival, which left unforgettable traces filled with science, technology, and space with its record-breaking 2,547,000 visitors in April in Istanbul. In its second and third stops of 2023, TEKNOFEST will take place in Ankara, the capital city, from August 30th to September 3rd, 2023, and in Izmir, the pearl of the Aegean, from September 27th to October 1st, 2023. Embracing millions with the vision of a "National Technology Movement" for a fully independent Turkey, TEKNOFEST aims to witness the development of projects that will be transformed into startups through a new competition model.
Teams that have participated in competitions held within TEKNOFEST between 2018 and 2023, from high school level to university and beyond, can participate in the TEKNOFEST Startup Competition. The startup themes include Education Technologies, Health and Well-being Technologies, Transportation and Mobility Technologies, Agricultural Technologies, Communication and Information Technologies, Tourism Technologies, Environmental, Energy and Climate Technologies, Space, Aviation and Defense Technologies, Disaster Management Technologies, and Technologies for an Inclusive Life.
The competition consists of two categories: Pre-Incubation and Acceleration, in which all themes can participate. Teams with startup ideas or those developing their products will be evaluated in the Pre-Incubation category. At this stage, it is not necessary for the venture to be established or incorporated. In the Acceleration stage, teams that have transformed their projects into testable products and have established companies related to these projects will be evaluated through their presentations.
The aim of the TEKNOFEST competition is to integrate participants into the entrepreneurship ecosystem, commercialize projects developed in technology competitions, contribute to the National Technology Movement with projects that turn into startups, and offer a total prize pool of over 7 million Turkish Lira to the participants.
