Automotive body parts manufacturer Coşkunöz Metal Form (CMF), as part of its sustainability strategic plan, continues its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint using renewable energy sources. The company has installed a solar power plant with an annual capacity of 7.15 million kWh on the roof of its factory in Nilüfer, Bursa. With this Grid-Connected Solar Energy System (GES) investment covering a total roof area of 40,000 square meters, the company aims to meet approximately 40% of its electricity consumption from clean energy. By doing so, CMF aims to prevent the release of a total of 4,536 tons of carbon emissions into the environment annually, which is equivalent to the contribution of 170,000 trees.

Barış Murat Karaadak, the General Manager of Coşkunöz Metal Form, emphasized their continuous efforts for a sustainable future and stated, "While CMF continues its production at full speed, we also exert intensive efforts to be more environmentally conscious and reduce our carbon footprint. With our new solar power plant, which has an annual production capacity of 7.15 million kWh, we now source 40% of our consumed electricity from clean energy. It is exciting for us to prevent the release of over 4,500 tons of carbon emissions into the environment every year. We will continue our sustainability efforts with determination in the coming years for a more livable and clean world and environment."
